As you all may know, one of the main projects of the Technoguild is the website itself.

When we first started out this community, we had the desire to somehow reflect the radical/cutting edge content we would supply by utilizing the latest and greatest web technologies and conventions to present them. I and a good number of our team continuously test, develop and implement what you see today, and we have learned a great deal about web design, graphics design, coding/scripting and team coordination as a result. =]

In that spirit, I would like to briefly notify everyone about a somewhat major background update that has been taking place these passed couple of days;

Our mySQL database has been updated to version 5.0, which has allowed us to update our forum and mainsite systems to newer versions. For those unfamiliar with mySQL, it is a database structure that dynamically stores all of the content we write, such as articles, user accounts, forum posts and PM's into a single, organized place.

The data from our old database which was running mySQL version 4.0 was transferred to the mySQL 5.0 database. From what we can tell, there was no error in transfer and most people should not notice any change except for a  different version number on the bottom of the forum pages.

However we have had at least one report of members having trouble accessing or logging into the site. If you guys encounter any issues, please contact us so that we can take care of it soon! We believe that most issues were being caused by mismatched cookies, so try to clear them as well as the browser cache and see if that fixes any problems. Otherwise, let us know! 

That's about it for now. Much things are churning in the back end at the moment, so we'll be sure to keep you updated on what's happening shortly.
